How did "S4 League Revival Project" come about?

S4 League Revival Project came about following several videos I’d recently posted on my YouTube channel (Luke L’ACTIF !)
One subscriber kept popping up in the comments on my latest videos with the same message:
"We want S4 League 😭"
I explained to him that, for the time being, I wasn’t ready to make any more videos about S4 League. The game’s current situation frustrates and disappoints me, particularly since it shut down.
I didn’t feel motivated to make videos about S4 Xero (which is a remastered game inspired by S4 League, and which i also enjoy) but the official version of S4 League is no longer available and there didn’t seem to be any real good news on the horizon regarding its future.
So we had a long discussion.
He made me realise something important: things won’t change if we remain silent.
It’s by continuing to talk about the game, to communicate and to show that a community still exists that we can make our voices heard.
I then reminded him that, three years ago, I’d already made two videos entitled ‘Let’s Save S4 League’.
But his message was clear: we mustn’t give up.
We must keep talking about S4 League, keep showing that we’re still here, and not let the game fade from players’ memories.
Following this discussion, I decided to make ‘Let’s Save S4 League 3’, hoping to reawaken those who still love S4 League.
But whilst preparing this video, I asked myself a question:
It’s all well and good to talk about S4 League… but what happens next?
S4 League has shut down, and part of the community would now like to see a serious buyer give the game a new lease of life.
So, how can we maximise our chances of being heard by potential investors, publishers or buyers?
I didn’t want to simply end my video by telling players to stay motivated.
I wanted to create something everyone could get involved in.
That’s when I came up with the idea of creating a website and, more importantly, a movement that the community could easily identify with.
And so :
S4 League Revival Project
was born.
I like this name because it represents what many of us are hoping for: to see S4 League return on a sound footing and be given a new lease of life.
We dream of an S4 League that can be maintained and developed by a serious, ambitious company capable of believing once again in the potential of the game and its community.
But the S4 League Revival Project isn’t just for former players.
Anyone can get involved.
Whether you’re a big fan of S4 League, a former player, or even someone who didn’t know the game but supports our initiative, you can help bring this movement to life.
On the website, you can, amongst other things:
take part in the survey;
interact with the community;
like and comment on posts;
share the project;
spread the word about S4 League to those around you.
Talk about it on your social media. Introduce your friends to S4 League.
Talk about it with the people around you. Share your memories.
The goal is simple:
To keep talking about S4 League, even though the game is now closed.
The more we show that there is still a community that is present, active and interested in its return, the more we’ll be able to attract the attention of people or companies who might be interested in its future.
We can’t guarantee that a buyer will come forward.
But we can show that a community is still here and ready to welcome anyone willing to give S4 League another chance.
So let’s keep talking about it.
Thanks for reading, friends! 👍
